Dan Morris BSc(Hons) MBChB MFSEM(UK) FRCSEd(Ophth) FFRRHH FRGS FRCOphth is an eye surgeon in Cardiff with 30 years of medical and research expedition experience.
Dan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Cardiff and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University with a special interest in trauma and orbital surgery. He trained in St Andrews, Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle with an orbital fellowship in Vancouver. He has a special interest in high altitude, runs an eye project in Kenya and is a match doctor for the Welsh Rugby Union
Dan is an international authority on the effects of high altitude on the eye and has published and presented widely on this subject. He has extensive medical and research expedition experience in Nepal, Bolivia, Tibet and Colorado, collecting the highest ever eye data on Mt Everest.
Dan is also passionate about world blindness, running an eye project in Kenya with the Samburu tribe and a community link between the Vale of Glamorgan and the people of Tororo in Uganda.
Dan is the match ophthalmologist for the Welsh Rugby Union and the Welsh Football Association as well as Adviser to the British Boxing Board of Control.
